Know Your Business (KYB)
Know Your Business (KYB) is the process of verifying a business customer before providing it financial services: confirming the company legally exists and is in good standing, identifying the people who ultimately own or control it (beneficial owners), and screening the entity and those individuals against sanctions and watchlists. It is the business-entity counterpart to KYC, and US institutions perform it under FinCEN’s Customer Due Diligence rule.

A typical KYB review collects registration documents, tax identifiers, ownership structure down to individual beneficial owners (generally those holding 25% or more), and the nature of the business — then verifies each element against registries and screening lists. For companies with layered or cross-border ownership, this is where onboarding stalls: every layer adds documents, and every reviewer starts from scratch.
Infinite runs KYB once, to network standard, and the result carries: a counterparty vetted on the network is vetted for every participant, which is why compliance review time moves from roughly 30 days to 1–2. Hosted Flows provides the whitelabel onboarding front end; the network keeps the file current with ongoing monitoring.
